Mam Tor Pilgrimage

Calling all medicine women, wise women, wild women, witches, healers, sisters of the rose … whatever phrase fits for you, you are invited to join me for this solstice journey of deep remembrance. The aftermath of the witch trials still lingers in our culture. For too long the earth-based spirituality that is rooted in these lands has been forgotten,  dismissed and demonised. Causing many of us to look beyond these lands for spiritual practices. But we do not need to roam far to find the sacred, The Goddess is right here beneath our feet crying out to be reclaimed. It is for us, the wise women of today to uncover her and spread her message and truth. Know that this is essential work for these times. For if we are to dismantle colonial systems we need to start at the cause; the patriarchal capitalist culture we are living and breathing in this country. It is deeply harmful and many are waking up to this fact now. Let’s stop spiralling in our minds for answers, I’m here to say there is another way. Coming back to the earth and praying to The Mother. This all begins with an unearthing of Britain’s ancestral Celtic worship of The Mother, and what better place than the Mother Hill. Under the solstice sun, we will be making the sacred pilgrimage up Mam Tor (aka Mother Hill). A place that was once home to Celtic tribes that worshiped the Dragon Mother of this land, so much powerful energy to be felt & unearthed here. We will walk together sharing myth, stories and wisdom along the way. Once arrived we will gather in ceremony to connect to and provide offerings to Her and the ancestral wise women. Bring your whole selves, your song, your drums, your prayers, your magick and your medicine. This will be a true circle, power with, meaning each of us will be sharing a piece of our hearts.

What I will be offering? I will guide us through the stories and myth around the Goddess of these lands, Bridgid. We will be exploring her message and her teachings, and ways that we can embody this for the collective. I will be guiding us through an ancestral connection ceremony, drawing on the wisdom and energy of the medicine women, witches and healers that lived on these lands before the witch trials. I will be giving each woman will rooted warrior blessing from myself, using the flower essence I ceremonially wild crafted on the cornish coast. This blessing will ground you down into the earth, deeper into your inner wisdom and support you on this journey of deep earth transformation. 

Do not worry if you do not feel like you are a medicine woman... the circle of medicine women is a space where you can feel into this for the first time, a place to find and step into your own unique medicine. We ALL medicine women, we just need to remember... We will all be meeting at Hope Train Station at 12pm, and will begin our walk from there. All women and femmes are welcome.
